Summary of design and build activity

There's been such a lot of activity recently that it can be difficult to keep up with it all.

Here's a quick summary:

The Slug plug was donated to the class by its builder Robin Russell and designer Simon Roberts. The original build batch consisted of three boats and since then there have been two more. After this the plug was loaned to the French Cherub fleet who are building the first of a further pair at the moment.

This design is a moderate development of the Slug design. A streamlined build process is organised to be inexpensive and allow for building from kits. It is being masterminded by Richard Taylor. The first boat is nearing completion and there are orders for two more.

Class newbie Dave Chisholm (aka Carbonology Dave) has rounded up some massive sailing names to work some magic on this project which he is soon to start building. Paul Bieker is one, Mike Lennon is another. Need I go on?

Kevin Ellway used his impressive Cherub experience to produce his fifth design, the hull shape of which has just been finalised.
