Not impossible Ross, we can let you kow a bit nearer the time.

We will be going straight to Draycote on the Sunday for the training week if we have survived Keilder's legendary 'deceptively sheltered windward mark', cunning placed in the lee of the island to fool you into thinking it isn't actually blowing dogs off chains and hoisting the kite isn't frankly suicidal.....

We seem to fall for this every time we go, and as Phil & Carol will confirm, that reach down to the club takes no prisoners. Even if you avoid the upside down carnage, there never seems to be a good time to gybe as the gusts get stronger, the horses whiter and the jetty closer....

Can't wait. ;D

Sounds bloody EPIC. 91 rules all the way  ;D

Been there, done that... We elected to retire rather than gybe as it appeared no-one else had managed to get up the beat...

We have a clash with a more local event in a different boat.  Considering the practice week though.

The sailing instructions are up for the keilder open. Looks like there are going to be quite a few short races sailed average lap and one much longer distance one.

I am quite looking forward to it.

Keilder is the first event of the 2008 Scottish Skiff series. This year the events are sponsored by www.scottishsailing.com

Taken from their website Is a description of what the sponsorship will involve
Scottish Sailing Sponsors SSR 2008 Championships

Scottish Sailing is sponsoring the 2008 Scottish Skiff Championships which promises to be
a thrilling series of events on the water. In a highly innovative sponsorship agreement
Scottish Sailing will provide coaching at the Championship Grand Prix events.

Scottish Sailing Director, Duncan Hepplewhite, will be attending all the SSR Grand Prix
events to film the action from the Scottish Sailing rig. After the event Duncan will
present the day’s footage and provide expert analysis and advice.
Duncan has over 10 years national sailing squad and recreational coaching experience.

Scottish Sailing will also be available at all the SSR events with chandlery, spares and
back-up support to get you back on the water as quickly as possible. Look out for the
Scottish Sailing van if you require any repairs or assistance.

It could be quite a good extra to the event if we are all sitting about watching video of the days sailing, not only will Duncan be giving people tips but it is hard to stop most of the top end of the SSR fleet from giving advice on boat handling and setup.

Hopefully we can get as many Cherubs as possible up there to show what we can do
