Birthday may mean you also get a bed, but you'll have to fight to get the "presidential suite" :-)

That's great work Paul.

a few years ago several of us asked if cherubs could sail at the chew asymmetric open and were told that is was for a few particular classes.

It's not what you know.

Count us in.  What are the plans for Sat night?  No rush but at some point we'll either book the pub near the club or elsewhere if the club won't be the venue for evening beers.

There are two basic themes and we are open to suggestions:

1) Hayley and I are happy to host a repeat of the 2012 February BBQ. Sadly this will be minus the dumper truck, but with a similar sized grill, in the warmer month of March and with a house that should be finshed. We are a 15 minute drive from Chew. After food, people would not need to drive anywhere before finding some floor space/beds/heated garage loft space or there are some reasonable paid-for accomodation options near BS31.

Note 1 : Closest paid accomodation to ours is The Crown - this is could be considered a bit of a dive (and may be closed or refurbished by then). 100m away is the posher "Old Manor House" - if people are interested then we can call in and ask for some better rates.
Note 2 : "Dean and Si's" room was put together today, the "Presidential suite" and the spare room have yet to be reserved.

2) There is an apparently good curry house that also does good pub grub within walking distance of the club, if people would prefer to stay nearer the club. However, the club does not stay open past 6pm and there is no camping on site (unless you pretend to be an all night fisherman and that is expensive). The club provides a good list of options for places to stay near-by http://www.chewvalleysailing.org.uk/places-to-stay.

Either way, accomodation at ours open to any cherubists - if you are new please feel invited.

Good info Roland Thanks. We'll be there and would like to lay claim to the usual place if possible. Cheers, G.

Presidential suite duly reserved.

Ade, you and Joe are very welcome.

Looking forward to this v much - can we squeeze in even more people than in Feb? Of course, we'll have one more functioning bedroom  ;D

Some accomodation would be available at ours.  We are about another 25 minutes away from Chew than R and H. Bed and floor space.
